Review: "The Twelve Days To Christmas" by Michele Gorman

Hannah is more than a little confused. In twelve short days she is booked to fly home to the United States from Hong Kong with her boyfriend Sam and she's pretty sure that he is going to propose. This should be one of the happiest moments of her life so why is it that every time she thinks about entering into matrimony she panics?

She and Sam are getting over a rather rocky patch in their relationship and as she tries to figure out if the two of them can overcome that, she realizes that she hasn't been entirely honest with Sam or with herself and that she must tell him the truth before it's too late.

The Twelve Days to Christmas picks up some time after Misfortune Cookie ends, however it can be read as a stand-alone story as well. I enjoyed this short and entertaining story, and I liked getting to know what had been happening with all of the other characters from previous books as well as Hannah. My only complaint is that the ending makes it clear that there will be no more books in the "Hannah" series! I have really enjoyed following along on Hannah's adventures as she criss-crosses the globe and I will miss hearing more about her! Of course that's not a complaint about the novella itself, but rather evidence of how much I loved reading her story!

The Twelve Days of Christmas will make a great gift for the chick-lit/ women's fiction lover on your holiday shopping list. Michele Gorman has two other books available in this series as well, Single in the City and Misfortune Cookie. Michele would also be happy to digitally sign any copies through Kindlegraph.com (just add a note with your friend's e-mail address and the occasion!) or you can request a bookplate for your paperback copy from her website. My thanks to the author for providing me with this review copy!

  1. Thanks, Jonita, I'm so glad you enjoyed it! I'm sorry there are no more Hannah books, but I think you'll like Bella, my newest heroine, just as much when Bella Summer Takes a Chance comes out in February 2013 :-)

And lovely Book Chick fans, please do take me up on the offer to inscribe a book for you or a friend!
