I am a huge chick-lit fan, so I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting my first-ever chick-lit giveaway!
About the Book:
"When Ava Nickerson was a child, her mother jokingly betrothed her to a friend's son, and the contract the parents made has stayed safely buried for years. Now that still-single Ava is closing in on thirty, no one even remembers she was once "engaged" to the Markowitz boy. But when their mother is diagnosed with cancer, Ava's prodigal little sister Lauren comes home to Los Angeles where she stumbles across the decades-old document.
Frustrated and embarrassed by Ava's constant lectures about financial responsibility (all because she's in a little debt. Okay, a lot of debt), Lauren decides to do some sisterly interfering of her own and tracks down her sister's childhood fiancé. When she finds him, the highly inappropriate, twice-divorced, but incredibly charming Russell Markowitz is all too happy to re-enter the Nickerson sisters' lives, and always-accountable Ava is forced to consider just how binding a contract really is . . . "

Hi, Jonita! Welcome to Win A Book! Just blogged about your contest there.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy reading them because they are fun reads, thanks for introducing me to another new author! tWarner419@aol.com
ReplyDeleteHI Jonita, please put my name in the hat, I'm already a follower.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I am not really a fan of chick lit. Rather I go on a book by book basis and this one happens to twig with me.
What's not to love about chick-lit? It's women and they are often going through life's struggles like we are. It's perfect for me to relate to. I laugh more at women's lit than any other genre. I love it - Ya Ya Sisterhood among others, ALWAYS!
ReplyDeleteThank you for offering this contest. I'm already a follower.
I love chick lit because I can relate to it and it keeps me entertained.

ReplyDeleteTo tell you the truth, I'm not positive that I DO love chick lit. I am just getting back into reading, and trying all different types of books to find out what I do and don't like. I haven't gotten around to "chick lit" yet. Some of what I see looks interesting, and some doesn't.

I like "Chick-lit" because it allows a little of guilt-free easy reading. It is one of my indulgences that doesn't have calories!!

I love chick-lit! I download books from the library and listen to them on my MP3 player when I'm crafting - making jewelry or sewing. They are the best books for falling asleep to also. I start to drift away with the characters and since it's light and fluffly I don't get nightmares. just love them. I already follow you on GoogleReader :) Pick me! I'd love to win one of the books in the giveaway. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jonita!
ReplyDeleteI love chick lit so much that, not only do I read it, I write it too!
Check out my book, 'Knickles and Dimes'. It's a great chick lit with hilarious characters and a fun story!
Thanks for the contest!
I love Chick Lit because it is modern enough to hold my attention (unlike historical fiction) and often I find I identify with the characters and their experiences.

Chick Lit is a fun escape for me. The books are usually smart and funny, and the characters face realistic situations in somewhat off-the-wall ways. Thanks for the giveaway!

I like chick-lit because it's usually light reading and also because, being the only female in the house, there isn't anyone else here who is anxiously waiting to take it off my hands.

I love chick lit because it's fun. :) It's always a nice relaxing read. I can read it while doing other things like working out or when my son's watching a show and I can read it with distractions all around. Can't say the same for the classics.
ReplyDeletemisusedinnocence@aol.com
I enjoy chick-lit when I'm looking for something light and quick to read, and find I read this genre the most in the summer. This one looks great.
